About Unfiltered with S.A.M.

Unfiltered with S.A.M. is an independent, English‑language geopolitical platform broadcasting from the Eastern Mediterranean. It was created to address a persistent absence in Western media: region‑rooted voices—particularly female voices—speaking directly, in English, without institutional filters, sponsors, or political constraints.

The platform brings lived experience into conversations that are too often shaped by distance, abstraction, and consensus narratives.

A Perspective Shaped by Lived Reality

The work behind Unfiltered with S.A.M. is informed by a life shaped by displacement, conflict, and resilience. Raised between Cyprus as a refugee from the Turkish‑occupied north and civil‑war‑torn Beirut, the host has lived the consequences of policies that Western audiences typically encounter only as headlines or strategic abstractions.

Both sides of her family have been displaced four times over two generations due to regional conflict. These experiences are not presented as credentials, but as context—grounding the platform’s approach in reality rather than theory.

Independence as a Principle

This platform is guided by independence, intellectual honesty, lived experience, and moral clarity—values rooted in a family legacy of truth‑telling.

The host’s grandfather, a lawyer and newspaper publisher, fled Beirut to avoid arrest by Vichy‑aligned authorities after refusing to halt publication of his openly anti‑Vichy editorials. That legacy is reinforced by a formative lesson passed down during the Lebanese civil war: fear is a thought, and thoughts can be controlled.

Unfiltered with S.A.M. does not answer to corporate sponsors, political parties, governments, or ideological camps. Questions are not softened, facts are not diluted, and conclusions are not shaped for acceptability.

The Work

The platform focuses on:

  • Geopolitics of the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East
  • U.S. foreign policy and its long‑term human consequences
  • Media narratives, information control, and freedom of expression
  • History, identity, and regional context often absent from Western discourse

Conversations are long‑form, unscripted, and serious—designed to inform rather than persuade.

Credibility and Reach

Despite being just over a year old, Unfiltered with S.A.M. has earned the trust of leading international voices, including former Marine Intelligence Specialist and UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter, Colonel Douglas Macgregor, CIA whistleblower John Kiriakou, journalist Gideon Levy, and Professor Jeffrey Sachs—figures regularly featured on the world’s most influential platforms.

Today, over 60% of the platform’s audience is based in the West, with half of that audience in the United States.

Beyond the Platform

The host is a Cyprus Fulbright Commission scholar and Stanford alumna, with professional experience spanning diplomacy, entrepreneurship, and civic service. After completing her studies and appointments in the United States—including in Washington, D.C.—she returned to Cyprus to promote the country internationally, founding a trade promotion initiative and serving as national agent for Cyprus at major international exhibitions.

She remains actively engaged in Cyprus’s professional and civic ecosystem, while contributing to alumni initiatives connected to Stanford University. A polyglot and avid traveler, she has visited over 35 countries and continues to devote significant time to community service and volunteerism.

These experiences inform the platform’s approach to journalism: grounded, independent, and accountable to real people rather than institutions.

The Aim

Unfiltered with S.A.M. exists to help audiences feel more informed, more grounded, and more confident questioning narratives once accepted at face value. The relationship with the audience is built on trust, respect, and shared curiosity—not ideological alignment.
